Last night on Life Learners, we had an engaging conversation about the clip below from “Eat Pray Love” and how Liz Gilbert mentioned that “Ruin is a gift. Ruin is the road to transformation.”

Our discussion centered on stories of personal ruin that led to personal transformations and the places where we had to escape to so we can heal and regroup. We heard stories from those who joined us on travels of healing or realization of personal ruin in places such as Dumaguete, Sariaya, New York, Barbados, Bangkok, etc.

Our discussion also highlighted the connection between internal spaces and the physical spaces where we live and breathe. How one physical space can mean suffocation for our internal space and how other physical spaces can be a facilitator for liberation.

We will have two other sessions on Eat Pray Love. Next time we will discuss places where we found God and then places where we found Love.

Join us every Friday, 6:30pm at MCC Quezon City. Everyone is invited. If you are a first time visitor, you are most welcome to sit with us and share your stories and perspectives. =D
