Open Table MCC’s Relief Operation for Taal Evacuees

Due to the generosity of our community and people who gave, we were able to come up with 60 hygiene bags for 60 families.

We were also able to give 4 sacks rice (25kg) of which one sack was given to UTS donation drop off; And a box of canned goods.

We are thankful for Solo Arts and Dine and its owner Ms. Peng for allowing us to repack in their establishment.

We are thankful for everyone who came to volunteer in repacking.

The Church decided to go directly to Barangay Maitim-Uno in Amadeo, Cavite, an identified area holding evacuees. The Church rented a Van to transport the relief goods. We left Mandaluyong at 4:30PM and arrived in UTS at 5:30PM. We then went to Brgy Hall of Maitim and arrived there by around 6:00PM.

According to Barangay Captain Florencio Cesicar, the evacuees have already returned to their host residents (private homes are hosting evacuees) and our donation will be distributed to then tomorrow, January 20.

We will see if a second batch of relief can be organized at a later time.

All cash donations and expenses will be accounted for and available for transparency.

For the love and service of the people as an expression of love for God.
