Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, where we are reminded of our mortality. That one day, we will die and the earth will reclaim our bodies. Reminding us of our deaths, we are reminded of our lives and how we are living it.
We are reminded to think carefully on where we are, what are our priorities, and how are we contributing to this world.
Lent is the liturgical season of reflection, discernment, and introspection.
