This Good Friday, we remember Jesus’ death on the cross. We remember how he was betrayed by one of his own disciples, how he was arrested, beaten, and mocked by soldiers, and how he was sentenced to death by crucifixion. We remember how he carried his own cross to Golgotha, where he was nailed to it and left to die. We remember how he cried out in agony, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” We remember how he breathed his last and died.
