August is “History and National Language” month in the Philippines (Buwan ng Kasaysayan at Wikang Pambansa). For our 5PM Sunday services we shall have the following topics:
04 August – Be MCC Sunday is Be Pinoy: Exploring how Filipino values, history and culture can be our unique flavor as Christians and MCCer in the world.
11 August – Special Guest Filipino-American Pastor Rev. Noel Bordador of the Episcopal Church will share the message of God and updates from the Filipino American community in New York.
18 August – We shall focus on the role of language and inclusive language in sharing the message of Jesus.
25 August – National Heroes Day we shall discuss Filipino heroism and our calling in today’s socio-political, socio-cultural context.
