Today, June 1, MCCs in the Philippines mark the beginning of Pride Month by sharing our global denomination’s call to Transform Ourselves as We Transform the World.
“Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” John 8: 12
“You are the light of the world – like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5:14-16
This weekend, MCCs in the Philippines shall dedicate its worship services and bible studies to expounding on this call through its homilies and discussions. First Sundays or first weekends of the month moving forward are now going to be “BE MCC” Sundays/ weekends. We shall continue the conversations, the sharing of stories and insights on the founding principles of MCC which are: Salvation, Community and Christian Action. We extend our invitation to you to join MCC and be one of us.
