Open Table Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) rallied for the passage of the SOGIE Equality Bill on June 28, 2025, at Palma Hall, University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman. After the afternoon rally, Open Table MCC marched alongside the LGBTQIA+ community in UP’s Love Laban 3.
The Christian church’s pastors, seminarians, professors and congregants joined the 250,000+ participants in the Quezon City march. Open Table MCC’s presence at this year’s Pride march was not incidental—they are regular attendees of the annual event. They are active ally clearly demonstrating support for LGBTQIA+ individuals.
In addition to the rally and march, Open Table MCC’s participants also enjoyed an outdoor picnic in celebration of Pride month. The informal gathering featured shared food, casual conversation, and fellowship, allowing attendees to wind down and connect after the public demonstrations of solidarity.
